In 2023, AMATIS is supporting two projects in Africa.

For the second year in a row , we've followed Dauphine International Youth(DIY) in Tanzania : in a village named Jendele (Zanzibar), a team of students is supervising the construction of a school with the support of Credit Agricole & private donors.

More details in our Chapter "Missions".

Our second project :AMATIS is supporting financially a nursery & primary school called Roots Institute center (in the Mathare slum in Nairobi, Kenya)

This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Amatis'foundation!

AMATIS remains active and very pleased to support financially a great project leaded by The Dauphine International Youth(DIY) association in Tanzania.

Founded in 2018, the DIY is a student society that carries out humanitarian missions around the world every year.

After 2 missions conducted respectively in Vietnam in 2018 and Nepal in 2019 , the DIY will conduct a new humanitarian action in Tanzania in May 2022.

Dear Friends,Dear Donors

AMATIS and its members remain active!

How this could be different when Europe is facing the biggest social and humanitarian crisis of these past 60 years?

We are studying the best ways to help refugees and have established fruitful contacts in the middle east. We need time to secure our charity projects and will keep you informed before the end of Semester 2 2016.

On the other hand, we have received regular donations from private german donors the last 2 years and Amatis has decided to support a new micro project in Madagascar.

This "green school" managed by Les Soeurs de la Salette is detailed in the enclosed chapter "Missions 2016-2017" .

As soon as we have evaluated the project ( sent in July 2016) we have organized a first donation of 1400€ to urgently buy the basic cooking equipements for the school canteen ( 140 children).

But, all in all, this interesting project reaches a budget of 25,6 K€.

Happy new year 2015!

Amatis France is very pleased to inform you that our support to Vidyanikethan school has came into force. Thanks to your support, we have collected 11 000 EUR to purchase the basic furniture like benches,desks, tables for the pre-primary and primary classes ( 3-7 years old)

Alexis Wetzel has officially inaugurated the school with our local partners (BME trust) on August 02. 2014.

Le succès d' AMATIS DAY (27 Aout 2011)

Le premier festival Amatis Day, organisé au château de Santenay, a fermé ses portes samedi soir sur un concert donné par le groupe Gospel Church, dont les voix sublimes ont enchanté la centaine de donateurs et bienfaiteurs venus soutenir les œuvres caritatives que l'association Amatis mène actuellement en Inde.

Tout un après-midi d'animations

Après l'accueil par Alexis Wetzel, président de l'association, qui en rappelait les objectifs, diverses animations se sont succédés durant l'après-midi : la projection d’un petit film présentant les réalisations et les projets de l’association, une exposition-vente de photos prises par Amatis lors de ses missions en Thaïlande et en Iran, la visite du château de Philippe-le-Hardi et, enfin, un dîner dans la salle de garde où un buffet avait été préparé par un orfèvre en la matière, la maison Gallet.

Il était ensuite temps de se rendre dans la salle de réception où le trio de gospel et son pianiste, vêtus d’un blanc éclatant, se sont avancés vers la scène sous les applaudissements des spectateurs.

Les voix superbes des chanteurs, leur équilibre polyphonique et leur enthousiasme ont séduit et ému l'auditoire, qui a terminé le concert debout pour chanter When The Saints, Amen et Happy Day avec le trio d’artistes.

Mission accomplie

« L’objectif de cet Amatis Day, outre de récolter des dons pour financer la construction de salles de classes dans l’Ouest indien, est de toucher les cœurs et de redonner à chacun le goût d’agir », affirme Alexis Wetzel. « Et à entendre les avis enthousiastes des participants et à voir l’affluence autour du stand Amatis après le concert, il ne fait aucun doute que l’objectif est atteint, la mission réussie ! », conclut-il.

Le président rappelle qu'Amatis recherche encore des soutiens financiers et des sponsors pour boucler ses microprojets. Il se dit confiant au vu des contacts pris dans la soirée, mais espère encore compter sur d’autres soutiens dans la région. Il recherche déjà pour 2013 un lieu d’exception pour son second festival.
