Our support in favor of an indian school

Amatis has decided to support  a new underprivileged school in Bangalore.

The school of Vidyanikethan (suburbs of Bangalore)

in the urban context of Bangalore ( more than 6 Mio inhabitants). Amatis has  supported a NGO called BME Trust to build up new  buildings for "Vidyanikethan Nursery & high school"

Vidyanikethan, started in 1981, is a school catering to the educational needs of poor and down trodden children among the lower classes of the Indian society. Since there is no support from the state government, Mr Panikkar ( President of BME Trust) does his best to meet both ends.

This school has 350 children and intends to grow up to 600 once the new buildings will be ready. For further details : please open the attached docs.

Amatis France has focused its support on basic needs and has collected 11 000 EUR to buy furnitures ( Tables, benches...) and support the construction of the building. Amatis- france and its german and french donors have been the first private contributor to this project.

we obviously look for founds for further sustainable support ( yearly budget to support the teachers)
